With our 12 Week Intensive Dance Program you will gain a solid foundation in the art of Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz Dance, Urban and Theatre Skills. This knowledge will prepare you to confidently master any of the dance genres.
Our program is perfect for those individuals who are seeking a career in the performing arts. This means passing the entry audition of your school of choice.
This program not only prepares you for that eventuality but will help you to achieve your goal. We have close ties to various full-time institutions, namely our associate school: The Covent Garden School of Dance and Theatre in Covent Garden, London.
The twelve weeks are split into three blocks of four weeks, each block intensifying as we progress.
Classes commence at 09.00 until 15.00, Monday to Friday. Each class has a duration of 75min.
There is a 15min break in between classes as well as a lunch break.
At the end of the program there will be a presentation exhibiting all of the disciplines covered in the curriculum.

The program takes place over twelve weeks and is divided into three blocks.
Classes start at 09.00 and continue until 15.00. Monday to Friday. Each class lasts for 75 minutes, leaving a 15-minute break between classes. And a lunch break is included.

Minimum number of participants
To ensure that the program can take place from an economic perspective, we have set a minimum number of participants to 8.
Registration deadline
The binding registration must be made by August 15, 2025, at the latest.

Subjects studied
CLASSICAL BALLET:
Technique to enhance centre, balance, coordination, execution and vocabulary.
Attention to body awareness, alignment and posture.
Development of graceful movement with dexterity.
JAZZ DANCE:
Learning to be grounded, isolations, jumps, kicks and turns.
Strengthening, core work, stretching.
Various jazz styles: Lyrical, rock, afro, gospel.
CONTEMPORARY / MODERN:
Attention to off centred movements, floor work, contact works, dynamic movement.
Swings, accents, drops, contractions, spacial awareness and use of body weight.
URBAN SKILLS:
A host of urban styles from hip hop, commercial, street and heel work.
MUSICAL JAZZ:
A combination of dance and acting, character based, intent of movement, presentation.
Story telling, expression, ensemble work.
DRAMA SKILLS:
Acting for dancers, monologues, dialogues, physicality, stamina, creating a character and scene work..
MUSICAL PROPS:
Prop work with hats, chairs, canes and various objects as dance partners.
Solo performer and ensemble work
BODY CONDITIONING:
Body strengthening, flexibility, stretching, cardiovascular work.
Additional Learning Tools
1: Progressive Skill Development: We will gradually increase the complexity of all dance techniques and combinations as participants progress week to week. Ensuring each block builds on the skills learned previously.
2: Enhanced Conditioning: Incorporating strength and conditioning exercises specifically tailored for dancers. Focus on flexibility, core strength, and stamina to help students improve their overall dance performance.
3: Workshops with Guest Instructors: We will be inviting amazing guest instructors and theatre professionals for specialised workshops and lectures, exposing students to different styles, techniques and a chance to ask questions that they may have.
4: Choreography Projects: Students will be assigned tasks to create their own choreography based on specific themes or styles. This will encourage creativity and give a deeper understanding of movement, character and story telling.
5: Performance Opportunities: There will be opportunities to showcase choreographies, acting or singing scenes towards the end of the program. This will gives students a goal to work towards and helps build confidence.
6: Incorporate Feedback Sessions: We promote regular constructive feedback and encourage objective peer reviews. This promotes a supportive learning environment and helps students identify areas for improvement.
7: Mental Preparation and Mindfulness: We promote mental conditioning techniques, such as visualisation and mindfulness exercises, to help dancers focus and enhance their performance.
8: Goal Setting: We encourage students to set personal goals for their development throughout the program. This can be daily, weekly or monthly. These goal should be written down in their official handbook. Regular check-ins on these goals can help maintain motivation.
9: Nutrition and Recovery Education: We will provide workshops / seminars on nutrition, hydration, and recovery techniques tailored for dancers, emphasising the importance of overall wellness.
10: Community Building Activities: Fostering a sense of community among participants is vitally important. Through team-building exercises, group discussions and social events we aim to enhance camaraderie, creating a more enriching and challenging experience for all concerned.
Certificate
The dance intensive program concludes with a well deserved certificate.
Awarded to students who have completed the overall training and have had satisfactory attendance and punctuality records.

To maximise the training experience we require:
-All participants to have a good basic knowledge of dance.
-To be considered for the program participants must pass the audition process. This may be live or video.
- – Minimum age for the program is 16 years.
- – Applicants should be in good physical and mental health.
- – Applicants must be committed, motivated and disciplined.
